                       10 Ways to Motivate Yourself

More than likely, due to this corona virus lockdown, your motivation to workout at home is less than your motivation to workout at the gym. At home you get distracted, other people interrupt you, a program on TV catches your attention. There are many paths that meet along the way.

So what do you do?

How do you avoid those interruptions? How can you motivate yourself to workout regularly and properly?

The important question to ask yourself is how badly do you want to achieve your health and fitness goals?

How to Motivate Yourself to Workout is Simple. Answer that question. Think about it with focused intensity. Look at the goal you want to achieve in your mind, and repeat your goal and more importantly, repeat the reason why you want to achieve that goal.

Do you want to be fit and healthy.

What do you want to be fit and healthy for?

WHY retains all power until you go after achieving your goal - even if you are working out of the house in this lockdown situation.

How much you want to achieve your goal determines the strength of your motivation.

It is a force that will continuously motivate and inspire you to accomplish your goal, regardless of any challenges, failures, protests, conflicts, distractions, interruptions, variations or anything else.

How to stay motivated will no longer be an issue!

I remember a friend who set himself a goal he was very excited about. He talked about that goal for days; What did he mean and how did he really want to achieve it within six months.

A few months later, my friend Bill, took me aside. I could see that he was feeling sad and disappointed. He went on to tell me how disappointed he was that his goal was not physical.

"Goal! What goal?" My honest answer was. I forgot all this. This was not what Bill wanted to hear.

"You know, my goal to get a toned, sculpted beach body," Bill reminded me, with a deep sense of defeat and frustration from his voice.

"Oh, I thought you were joking. We all thought you changed your mind because we don't let you go to the gym anymore," I replied, perhaps a bit sarcastically.

So, what happened here? What happened to Bill's drive? Where is his inspiration?

In the beginning, Bill was excited about his new goal of getting a strong and toned beach body as he put it. He was full of motivation and determination to achieve that goal. "I don't mind what it is," I know where her last words are. Hmmm.

She used to go to the gym four to five days a week continuously. He asked personal trainers questions about his protein shake, his supplements, and always his training schedule and routine.

He was pleased with her progress.

By the third month, however, he started going to the gym twice a week, and did that trick once in half a week through that third month.

His dilemma was that he could not understand that his motivation to go for gum and workouts had halved once a week through the third month.

"Initially, I was filled with a lot of excitement and inspiration. I felt that nothing could stop me," he explained, never feeling confused.

so what's wrong? Where did his incredible and unstoppable inspiration go?

After careful investigation, it is revealed that Bill had lost a burst of motivation as he was not really passionate about being toned.

He didn't really care that much about that beach body. In fact, whenever he went on vacation, he used to laugh at people from time to time.

Interesting point, huh? See where this is going?

His goal was merely a 'wish'.

In other words, he did not want him to be badly toned. If he had done so, if he had been emotional, he would have continued his workout routine, no matter how many challenges he had to face.

Bill was torn between two ideas.

The first said, "Yes, I would like to have a toned beach body." But his conflicting second thought argued, "Sure, but you can get involved in life without it. You laugh at those who have a perfectly toned beach body, now you want one." ! Let's go!"
And who won?

His conflicting views had the upper hand.

You see, Bill may have 'liked' the toned body, but he didn't turn that desire into a concrete goal.

The toned body idea is just a thought or a wish. As such, his once powerful motivation was weakened until it was no more.

If he had turned it into a goal, a concrete goal, he would have sought after it. No matter how tired or busy he was, he would have been motivated to pursue that goal.

Ultimately, this was his goal. And achieving goals.

Passion ignites the drive to maintain motivation to reach all types of goals.

Passion provides fuel to keep you in a highly motivated state of mind.

1. Re-plan your health and fitness goals

Now that you are in lockdown mode, simply having a goal will not mean that you can achieve it. You are very focused on this obstacle of going to the gym. Frustrated and constantly asking myself, "How can I stay motivated by all these disruptions around me? How can I stay motivated without being surrounded by others who are working outside?" And an array of other similar questions, you will inevitably move in the wrong direction.

As we saw with Bill, you have to have a clear and concise goal without any conflict.

Just wishing for a particular kind of body will not help.

Just losing weight will not help.

Just to do marathon jogging will not help.

Workout has so much to do with the feeling of achieving complete and all-round fitness.

Striving for it is a noble goal; At least for now when you are working at home and not in the gym.

So which workout routine plan can you follow at home? Jumping jacks, planks, triceps dips using a stationary chair? Think about it and come up with a plan. It does not need to be written in stone; Adjust it according to the time until you finally come up with a plan that you will be happy about.

You may face 'house-to-door interruptions'. When you do workouts, arrange time with people around you without any interruptions. Ask them to respect their workout time.

2. Pay attention to the feeling of working outside, and not just working outside

A powerful way to stay motivated for workouts is by focusing on the emotions and happiness that are working.

See the end result, eliminate the inconvenience of working at home; By memorizing WHY you are working for the first time.

And even more powerful is the Emotion Booster look in the mirror after a workout.

See and realize how great you look. This is a great inspiration booster.

3. Reward yourself:

When you used to workout in the gym, did you reward yourself for such a great workout? If not, you should have.

Now that you are working out of home, it is even more important to reward yourself after each workout.

Come up with a list of awards.

Pamper yourself

4. Stick to the plan that works for you

As we mentioned in step one, planning is important. Now, sticking to the final plan is critical to your fitness success.

If your motivation to workout has waned, and it can happen many times, this is where discipline and your big WHY kick.

Allow discipline to motivate yourself to workout.

Allow the big WHY to have your powerful 'shit on your shoulder'; I urge you to stay motivated. This 'rubbish on your shoulder' tells you how to stay motivated throughout your workout.

And during the lockout.

5. Quality over quantity

is key. Just because you are at home and not in the gym does not mean that the quality of your workouts should be harmed.

Do not compromise and compromise for less.

Do not jeopardize what you have already received.

True you may need to adjust your home workouts. True how to motivate yourself to workout can be an issue (at first). It is true that the quality of your workouts may decline slightly.

If so, find a way around it to get as much quality as possible from each workout session, and do each session with determination and dedication throughout.

It is all about quality and not quantity.

6. Set Yourself Workout at Home Milestones

Turn your ultimate goal into smaller achievable milestones. You can do this every week, if you want. If, in the gym, your goal was to do 100 pushups and you find it hard to do whatever the reason is at home, then get the amount you can do at home and perform on a scale of up to 100.

Start with Baby Steps to see what you can and cannot grow.

This will definitely keep you inspired.

7. Get Yourself a Workout Friend

It can still be a struggle every time to stay motivated. If this happens to you, then you should consider finding a workout boy; Someone who will work with you, and who will help you maintain your motivation - and you can also encourage and motivate.

What a wonderful victory exchange.

8. Music Keeps You

If finding a workout boy is a challenge for you, or that person may not be for you as often as you (even on FaceTime), annotate your second workout boy: your music playlist.

For many people, listening to music can powerfully motivate them to workout.

Are you one of them?

If not, consider that method.

You may be pleasantly surprised how you can gain strength by listening to your favorite music; Where you will be motivated and where you can stay motivated to exercise.

And for some, they workout longer and more intensely as they are driven by the faster beats of the songs they love.

9. A great distraction you will enjoy

As we wrap this up, here is a special distraction that I think you'll like. Perform all or parts of your workout while watching your favorite TV program.

It will be a pleasant distraction that will clear your mind from the unpleasantness of working out of home and not in the gym.
